Advanced Level Training

The advanced level courses are meant for network or organization level super-users and application developers. The courses are held either on-site or at TETRAsim in Helsinki, Finland. The exercises on these courses are tailored to meet the needs of the trainees and at the end of the course every trainee has a template on which to continue in the chosen area. Some courses may require network manufacturer approval.

Super-user

Operational Planning from the TETRA Point-of-View

TETRAsim’s popular and newest TETRA course is related to operational usage and planning of a TETRA network. This course is designed according to wishes and requirements shaped by TETRAsim’s customers worldwide. The focus of the course in mainly on public safety communication planning from operational usage’s point of view and especially how the operational methods can be communicated and trained to TETRA users. The course will go through topics such as talk group planning, organization planning, interoperability planning, and other aspects that should be considered when combining human beings (users) with TETRA (the technology). The course is suitable for personnel responsible for administration of the network. The course can be customized for the customer that just has introduced TETRA network or to customers that have been running a network for several years.

Application Developers

The course is intended to persons who are working with and interested in TETRA applications. This course will go through connectivity methods and advantages and disadvantages of different methods, interfaces that can be used for application development and also concepts of how new third party applications should be tested, evaluated and finally implemented to TETRA network, both from technical and operational point of view.
